A couple of times this week I have opened a file drawer (the one that I can't fit any more business receipts into), and pulled out a folder from the back, and tossed most of the contents into the wastebasket.

(Actually, one of those folders had calligraphy publications in it, some of which I had worked on -- back in the grim days when cut and paste meant literally, on big sheets of illustration board -- which I refiled into binders which Go On The Shelf.)

If I hadn't been living in this house for fifteen years... I would have spent endless hours already sorting through all this stuff and packing and moving and unpacking and getting settled again, so maybe a few minutes on it here and there is not so bad.
