I think when the holiday is over I am going to have a different day off, not Wednesdays but Thursdays. Realio trulio over. (Partly because the workout schedule has changed, so I will soon be going to the gym on Wednesdays, to accommodate Number One Son.) Sometimes it doesn't seem like it's all done until after all danger of sending cards is done, which is Valentine's Day. I've still got the lights up, and my class doesn't start again until February.

Busy week. Friday we went to Milwaukee to pick up Miss Chris' artworks and have dinner (fish fry at Benno's in West Allis). The weekend vanished in the usual haze, although I could reconstruct it even at this distance if I thought real hard. Monday I went up to Sauk Prairie in spite of miserable weather to help take down the show there, and then took most of it to the Hilldale management offices and hung it again. With much invaluable help on both ends. I was completely wiped out. The weather this week has Beat Me With Chains. And the northwest seems to have been getting most of our snow.

Wisconsin for the weather! our new motto. I have got some frost paintings started. Damn, now it's going to warm up.
