Big news today, for Number One Son, the braces are off. And I heard he needed someone to spot his dead lift or squats or something today when he got stuck with too much weight.
For kitty, memory of Friday's trip to the vet is receding in her walnut-size brain to something bad that happened. But now she is home. So this is Paris. We are forcing tiny quantities of medicine (stool softener if you must know) down her throat with a dropper without much additional trauma.
Mr S never has big news: he drove to the orthodontist and the shop and the library and the gym. Oh yeah he stopped by Franky Field where he used to work to see why the alarm service still has his name on the list of people to call at midnight when the alarm goes off, even though he retired from there some years ago, and heard the latest departmental gossip. We were thinking Saturday night (who calls us at midnight on Saturday???) that if he responded to the call-out he could charge lots as a private consultant, that would be putting our tax dollars to work.
In the mail, today we got a hand-writ thank-you from my bro, who got married in November. I heard about it very roundabout, in an email from parental units in Italy, and had mailed off a present when the holiday madness quieted. So now you know as well.
Yeah, I went to the smelly old gym today too, I spose that's news since my weights are going up again -- I can lift more than the other old ladies and as much as many of the weenie desk jockeys and slender young things. Visited Marcia and Anton Sunday to see how their vacation in Belize went, saw photos from their new digital camera and had a glass of wine. Worked out how to scan a piece of art and drop it into Word this weekend, that's a big deal for me, getting the pieces put together, and another eight-page apazine. This evening I made possibly the best stroganoff sauce I have ever put together...
All these little things life is made of. Had to make a list last night of all the stupid things bugging me, big and little and things I hadn't done, so that I could make another list to counter it of equal bias in the opposite direction. I am not a completely inadequate person. It just feels like it some times.
