We were having a pleasant dinner last night, as usual, (peanut chicken, rice and peapods) and discussion turned from that newfangled Scorpion King to the Beatles and other events of those high and far-off times. The way high schools and colleges sorted themselves out back in dinosaur times was a little different.

"There were jocks, and there were freaks, and they never mixed," I said. "But you, my son, are the product of the mystic union of those two warring houses."

He beamed.

It is really only the first rule that gives him any trouble, no lifting (that is, no random lifting of parents as a casual feat of strength, as they are aged and delicate and could be hurt). Such a good boy. "Have fun storming the castle!"
