All that high-falutin art stuff will come and go but meantime it's just me. The last couple days I've been changing all my email over to the new account which has taken maybe a month or more longer than one might reasonably expect. Considering it's all on my own time though, I'm just not a very good supervisor, or maybe I don't pay myself enough.
I suppose I've been busy enough though. Now that my kid is back in school I am having a fit of domesticity, the cooking kind. My spouse has started taking me to lift weights at the gym three times a week, and I'm feeling much better although I haven't done that in years. Both of these are obsessive-compulsive kind of habits, but the good kind. I need a certain amount of routine in my life and when my schedule is too chaotic, I resort to solitaire.
And then since my last entry here I also put together my turbozine Alphabet Obsession, collated the August Turboapa and mailed it out. I have also begun a big project to look over -- and I don't mean read -- the entire series of Turboapas, which is at least a way of harnessing this obsessive force for good. So far I am through the first 30 of 194 issues, and have begun to write my Compleat History. If I don't write it as I go along I'll never keep track. I am putting little post-it notes on all the interesting entries, and copying down some particularly ironic pull-quotes, and making a list of them, but have not resorted to index cards yet. It is pleasant to find I can understand jokes that took two years and more to set up.
Must go make dinner now, and peanut butter peanut cookies.
