Last weekend we were sitting around after dinner at Marcia's and she took out the photo album from when she and Anton first moved into their house, long before I knew them -- I used to have that same haircut, and have so many similar photos of houses, and vacations. It reminded me of what people looked like years ago, so when I got home I took out my own album, from before I even had a camera of my own, and found this photo, from a Halloween party at our house on Orchard Street, where C and I lived late in the seventies.
My troubles open like a book and polished to a shine. Hers were masked and hidden. Which would you choose?
