The holidays are emotionally brutal for many of us. Fortunately I have a buddy (WhoIsNotOnLJ), like all the best twelve-step programs. We agreed several weeks ago to stay in close touch during the dark season, and we have been writing long emails detailing all the stupid or annoying things our families do, fits of fainting or running mad, and any brief personal triumphs that turn up. I think I better phone her later, before I get any more delusional.
